As part of Collect Mills, Momotaro have the freedom and equipment to design and develop their own custom fabrics in-house, allowing them to produce highly unique and technically advanced fabrics at a fraction of the cost. This freedom defines much of Momotaro's brand, and everything they produce is a wonderful blend of incredible textiles and masterful craftsmanship.
The Momotaro 0605 or "Natural Tapered" fit is one of our favorite and best-selling jeans of all time. An extremely flattering tapered fit, it's the sort of cut that looks immediately good on just about everyone who puts a pair on - with a very natural taper, that follows the wearer's leg shape organically.
They feature a medium-high rise that sits comfortably on the waist, with decently roomy thighs and a noticeable taper down to a more narrow leg opening. These will still comfortably fit over most boots, but the operative word here is most, because certain engineers/ropers/cowboy boots will be too wide to fit under the leg.
For the most ambitious denimhead, Momotaro have designed this heavyweight 18oz shrink-to-fit denim. Study, and certainly not lacking in texture, this fabric will develop the sort of slow-burn, high contrast fades that only an unsanforized denim can produce.
These run slightly large, and will shrink to tag size following the first few rinses. Fabric shrink will increase with temperature, so wash cold for LESS shrink & wash hot for MORE shrink. Either way, hang dry.
